Last night in the UK

So it has come at last, our last sleep in the UK. The last week has been a whirlwind...

The packers/movers arrived an hour earlier than expected which caught us seriously on the hop. We have since discovered a few bits we should have saved from the packing and lots that should have gone in! But its now all gone and in a container somewhere off the coast of France. The packers were super quick and hopefully it all comes out OK the other end. But in the end it is just stuff, all the important things (people) are with us.

Friday was a day of cleaning, the cleaning people also arrived an hour early which also caught me out as I hadn't tidied up the kitchen of our last little bits. While the house was being cleaned I went into Reading and picked up a few little bits. Went to the bank to pick up my new debit card, it had been sent to the wrong branch, so annoying! But they did change £20 worth of coins we had lying around the house and all our foreign currency so it was worth the trip. After my almost useless trip to Reading I went to a friends house and enjoyed sitting on a couch again.

Saturday morning was check out day and our landlord also arrived an hour early. Luckily all went well and there were no issues.

The last few days have been spent doing not much other than spending time with the kids. So nice not to have to worry about cooking etc while we were at my Aunts....
