A bit of an update...

30th Birthday

So for my 30th birthday this year we went to a pub in Oxford for pies and drinks. I was stoked to discover that the pub I had chosen served steak and cheese pies! Perfect. It was a lovely night shared with some work friends and also a couple of friends from NZ (Nivi and Alistair) and my dear friend Lisa. It was a lovely evening and a great way to celebrate.

For my birthday weekend Peter took me to Bath to get some boots, however that was a failed mission due to my 'muscly' legs (the less said about that the better!) On the Sunday we went to Cheddar George, the home of Cheddar cheese. It was a bitterly cold day and we were very glad to get into the caves that stay a nice warm 11 degrees (it was about 2-3 outside). Inside the caves were some stunning reflective pools, a 9000 year old skeleton and some cheese being matured. This area was also very interesting for me as there were lots of water supply things around that are all modelled using the software I sell.

Austria

We went to Austria for a week. Peter went snowboarding. I didn't. Not a holiday we will be repeating. It was for a friends 30th so it was lovely to be there for that. But other then that, nothing for me to report. I think Peter had a great time. In future he will go off snowboarding and I will go away to the coast with my friend Lisa... There are a few photos here, if you are wondering about the costumes it was a furry animal day for the birthday celebrations.
