After four days of very hot weather and much talking of going for a swim in the Thames (usually after an areobie session) it was finally organised on pretty much the last scorcher of a day before normal British summer weather resumed. A fairly good turn out really, Claire, Sue, Amy, Mick (from Australia), Richard G, Simon and me. All the others were in well before me, for a number of reasons, first they all jumped off the boat and although I did a fair bit of wharf jumping in my time reason two stopped me following suit, we had an audience and I just didn't really feel like stripping down to my togs with some people as an audience (the other girls were all kitted out with shorts and t shirts). So I scuttled off to the boat ramp for a more lady like (audience free) entrance.
All of us in the water, nice a refreshing, not too cold (we were trying not to think about the sewerage treatment works upstream)

Preparing for a boat jump (note the name of the boat, we are based at Howbery Park and it's an electric boat)

Jump!

Me in the water

Susan and Amy (these two have NO fear and will do almost anything!)
