So Peter and I have had three whole English winters in theory, however with my job, I seem to manage to escape off to some far flung destination and miss out on all the snow falls here. Admittedly there haven't been that may but the ones we have had I have never seen! It even become a joke that every time I go away it snows. Anyway I managed to get to see the one snow day here this winter!
There we were lying in bed having just woken up and we heard a very strange sound, children playing, outside! We never knew how many kids actually lived round us until we heard them all out playing in the snow. Now I could go on about kids these days, but I wont. It was sad that you don't hear children's laughter as much as you used to. Anyway, so there we were and I said to Peter "Did it snow last night?" Opened the curtains to this...
So of course I was up and dressed in a flash, lots of photo taking around our place then we went out for a drive and took lots more photos. We headed up to the Ridgeway path and I made my first ever snow angel (that I can remember). We did have a fair few snowball fights, I'd like to think I won, given more of my snowballs hit Peter then his at me, but I'm sure he was just being the gentleman he is. Although, when he flicked a branch of snow at me, maybe he just had bad aim with a snowball!
We took a fair few photos, a selection are here

Pretty!!!!! Just looked at these now, so gorgeous!! The snow covered bike is awesome :-) Beautiful images of the forest too; Peter looks like Little Red Riding Hood in one of those shots with his bright red jacket!
