Kiwi Picnic

While visiting Windsor Castle with Anna on Monday I received word that Nivi and Matt were planning on coming to Oxford on Tuesday. This was cool, three kiwis to stay! I thought it may be worth a try to ask my boss if I could work at home and have the afternoon off work so that I could spend some time with them, he promptly said that I could have the day off! He's a cool boss like that. So while I caught up with emails and the last of my stage 2 HK homework, Anna planned some of her trip to France. Matt and Nivi arrived on the Oxford Tube and we took them on a tour of Oxford. Anna and I having only just done the walking tour could easily rattle off some facts and act like we knew what we were talking about.

That evening we had a picnic in University Parks (were I will also be doing my run). It was a little bizarre having three lovely kiwis in Oxford which has been relatively kiwi free for a while. Some say I was drunk, but I disagree. It was a little funny as Anna knocked her red wine over and I thought and was just about to say "pour some white wine on" when I knocked my white wine directly on the stain. Lots of laughter followed that one.

Now our house is empty, our friends have gone, to far reaches and further adventures. And now Peter and I are back to planning our next adventure and eventual home coming...

ha ha - that bottle of wine in the photo of Peter looks like it is miniature! Either that or Peter's head looks huge! :-)

Weird! You might as well be in NZ!

... Except for all the cool buildings around, and the mole hills next to us :-)
